This course is designed to examine the theory and practice of audio techniques in radio, television, film, and multimedia, including acoustics, audio language and terms, signal flow, use of microphones, use of mixers and related production equipment, and the aesthetic aspects of sound mixing. The RTV Sports Broadcasting Group is responsible for broadcasting a wide variety of Delta College Sports events and producing a half-hour sports talk show that appears on SJTV Channel 26 (Comcast). The RTV Sports Broadcasting Group is lead by professional sports broadcaster - Rod Villagomez (Valley Sports Broadcasting).

This course is designed to emphasize the use of digital audio workstations for audio, radio, and multimedia production and synchronization with the visual image. The course provides the opportunity for specialized training in the use of audio postproduction techniques and the skills necessary to compete in the entertainment, communications, and multimedia industries. Students are introduced to techniques and equipment currently used in digital audio postproduction. (CSU)

The RTV Radio Station Group is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Delta College Radio Station. The Delta College radio station can be heard on the Internet and on FM 89.5 (on campus - only). The RTV Radio Station Group is lead by professional radio broadcaster - Rod Villagomez (KWIN-FM).

The RTV Audio Performance Group is responsible for organizing and presenting audio based (stage music concerts) performances. The Group will present one to two concerts, per semester. This semester, the RTV Club will help wrap up the production of the RTV full-length movie - "Broadcasting Sunshine." Also, the group will meet with the purpose of assisting on each others audio, video, and assorted multimedia projects. Occasionally, media industry guest speakers will meet with the group and specially selected movies and audio productions will be presented for critical review.
