Multimedia Specialist:
A Multimedia Specialist generally masters a variety of multimedia production skills. Some of the skills (applications) that a Multimedia Specialist should be proficient in are: Interactive Media Graphics (Flash, Motion, DVD Studio Pro, etc.), Digital Video (Final Cut, Avid, After Effects, etc.), Digital Audio (Pro Tools, Audition, etc.), Digital Animation (Flash, Lightwave, Maya, etc.), Digital Imaging (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Web Development (Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.).
Multimedia specialists can be employed in a wide variety of businesses. Any company that needs a presence or a presentation on the Web, CD-ROM, DVD, kiosks, mobile devices, and other computer-based delivery, needs a capable multimedia specialist to create, and maintain these various forms of digital presentations.
Multimedia projects include those focused on business, marketing, education, training, presentations, and entertainment. People enter the field from related professions, such as graphic design, film/video, publishing, and fine art. An entry-level multimedia specialist may expect to earn approximately $12-15 per hour, while those with more experience may earn upwards of $20 per hour. Multimedia specialists may earn $30,000 to $60,000 a year, based on experience and skills.

Examples of employed Delta College RTV (Multimedia Specialists):
· A former video student is currently the video/web specialist for KWIN-FM
· A current student is creating training and safety videos for Diamond Nuts
· Current students have started an Ad agency that specializes in providing a variety of digital content (TV, Radio, and Web Advertising)
· Current students have created an Internet based local sports broadcasting business
· Current and former students have created videography businesses that cater to a variety of clients (video for weddings, memorials, reunions, and other special events and activities)
· Video editors (that upload finished projects onto various Websites)
· Audio engineers (they record music and they provide digital distribution)
· Audio and Video Commercials (students have created spots that have been seen and heard on local stations and on the Web)
· Current and former students have created PSAs and Promotional Videos
· Current and former students have created special streaming stations for clients
