This was the first year that MediaFest featured student media competition. Unfortunately, like with anything new and not yet perfected, the organization and presentation of contest materials was not uniform and comprehensive. The MediaFest Management, based on the results of this year’s MediaFest, will be making appropriate adjustments to make sure that future MediaFest media competitions are accurate and complete. MediaFest is still an event in development. To create and stage the best possible MediaFest, you are welcomed and encouraged to join the MediaFest Management team. By joining the team you can help ensure that we continue to refine and improve this event. The purpose of MediaFest is to create a better connection between local/national media professionals and Delta’s media students. The purpose of improving this connection is to improve the opportunities for Delta’s media student to move into local/national professional media employment. Thanks to all who participated in MediaFest 2010 and we look forward to you being part of MediaFest 2011 (May 21).
